Alhas works on William Blake, British Romanticism, Turkish Romanticism, Comparative Poetry, Naval Ballads and Translation.
Hüseyin Alhas received his Bachelor degree in English Language and Literature from Hacettepe University and continued on his Masters of Art in the same department, where he graduated with a thesis entitled “The Impact of The French Revolution on William Blake’s Poetry and Paintings” in 2017. In this study, Alhas specifically focuses on the impact of the 18th century British Newspapers on Blake's perception of the French Revolution. He is currently a PhD candidate at Hacettepe University. In 2019, Alhas joined Blake/ An Illustrated Quarterly's team "William Blake and His Circle Annual Checklist" and became responsible for works published in Turkey. Alhas is also an amateur poet, musing both in Turkish and English. His latest poem "Phantasmatopia" was published in My Utopia:
