Research assistant Şafak Horzum from our department has earned the right to receive Fulbright Doctoral Research Scholarship by the Turkish Fulbright Commission that supports the exchanges and cultural cooperation between Turkey and USA by means of educational activities and student-scholar exchanges since 1949. 

 

With his Ph.D. dissertation entitled "A Posthumanist Reading of British Fantasy Fiction: Jonathan Swift, Lewis Carroll and J. R. R. Tolkien," Şafak Horzum is going to be at Harvard University in the 2019-2020 Academic Year to make researches on critical animal studies and object-oriented ontology in the frame of fantasy fiction as a method of satire to normative/narrative realisms. 

 

We congratulate him for this scholarship and the admission to Harvard and wish him an ever-lasting success.
